Our history
B J Moss Ltd is locally owned and has operated in Gisborne since 1952.
B J Moss Ltd commenced manufacturing roofing products in 1965, at this time most of the raw materials were an imported product. NZ Steel began production of steel at there Glenbrook site in 1968 and since then B J Moss Ltd has been buying direct from them.
We manufacture and supply tailor-made metal roofing and roofing accessories for commercial, industrial and residential purposes, we can handle any job big or small.
We offer custom made flashings in lengths up to 6.5 meters long eliminating joins and potential leak areas.

At B.J. Moss Ltd we offer free no-obligation quotes on the manufacture and supply of superior roofing products. Having been in business for over 50 years, we're able to cater for big or small orders. We do not install roofs ourselves but we can point you in the direction of our affiliated network of trusted roofing contractors who can provide you with a quote. The roofing industry has gone from supplying standard imperial lengths of traditional Galvanised Corrugated Product, expanding into a Longrun Custom Lengths supplied in a multitude of different profiles. This was complimented in 1960’s with the introduction of pre-painted product. The introduction of Colorsteel required further retooling of machinery to cope with the additional requirements of Colorsteel roll forming. We also run a Plumbing Division along with a specialised Sheet Metal fabrication team.
